At Dance Shoe Store, we want every dancer to be completely satisfied with their footwear. If your dance shoes don’t meet your expectations, we’re happy to help with returns or exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order.
Note for our dance community: For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on worn dance shoes (except for manufacturing defects). Please try shoes on clean surfaces only during your evaluation.
Eligibility for Returns/Exchanges
- Items must be unused, in original condition with all tags attached
- Original packaging must be intact
- Proof of purchase required
- Returns must be initiated within 15 days of delivery
Non-Returnable Items
To maintain quality standards for our dancers, these items cannot be returned:
- Worn dance shoes (except for defects)
- Customized or special-order dance shoes
- Clearance items marked “final sale”
- Opened shoe care products from our Accessories & Shoe Care collection
Return/Exchange Process
- Contact Us: Email [email protected] within 15 days of receipt with:
- Your order number
- Item(s) you wish to return/exchange
- Reason for return
- Whether you prefer refund or exchange
- Wait for Authorization: We’ll respond within 2 business days with return instructions
- Package Carefully: Include all original packaging and tags
- Ship Back: Send to our Austin address using a trackable method (you’re responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error)
- Processing: Allow 3-5 business days after we receive your return for processing
Refund Timeline & Methods
Once your return is approved:
- Timeline: Refunds process within 3-5 business days after we receive your return
- Method: Refunds go back to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- International Customers: Refunds may take additional time to appear in your account depending on your financial institution
Exchange Policy
For size or style exchanges:
- We’ll ship your replacement once we receive the original item
- You’re responsible for shipping costs both ways unless the exchange is due to our error
- If the replacement costs more, you’ll pay the difference
- If it costs less, we’ll refund the difference
